The Watertown based Initiative To Prevent Sex Trafficking is advocating for a new law that will strengthen the state’s sex trafficking laws. Sister Teresa Ann with the Mother Of God Monastery says three goals are being supported by her group, including strengthening the law for a second offense for hiring sexual activity.

She says many legislators are aleady supportive of strengthening the state’s sex trafficking laws and are willing to get behind this legislation. She’s hopeful more state policymakers will step up and do the same by getting behind new laws that will protect both male and female victims.
