Looking ahead to the next one hundred years of nursing was the theme of the South Dakota Nurses Association convention held in Yankton this week. President Margie (mar-gee) Washnok says future nurses will have a lot to deal with.

The South Dakota Nurses Association was founded in 1917.

Washnok says medical providers have to rely on more than just technology.

Washnok says nurses have a unique responsibility and relationship to patients. Washnok has been a Nursing Professor at Presentation College in Aberdeen since 1990.
