The 2018 South Dakota Governor’s race could be very competitive, beginning with the republican primary between Attorney General Marty Jackley and Congresswoman Kristi Noem. Democrats have State Senator Billie Sutton in the running. Longtime political watcher Dave Owen says it is an interesting combination.
Owen, President of the state Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says the tone of the race may determine the winner.
Owen says it looks like all the candidates will have enough money to run significant campaigns.
