Watertown, SD —  Among items on the Watertown City Council this evening is Resolution No. 17-21 that would lower the salary of Mayor Sarah Caron from the current 80,487 dollars yearly to 69,360 dollars.  The salary change, if approved by the council tonight, would be the only drop in pay for a city employee and would be retroactive to July 1st. The action would reduce the mayor’s salary by resolution, although it doesn’t state who introduced the measure or why. If approved it would drop the mayor’s pay below most department heads. The pay for city council men and women would be 10,597 dollars.  We have more today at mykxlg.com and on the morning news at 7 and 8 a.m.
