South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard signed 20 bills into law Thursday. One of those is an omnibus water spending bill that opens up funding for water projects across the state.


Daugaard also signed a bill that tightens the noose on controlled substances.


The Governor followed suite with legislative leaders in taking note of the impressive bill load lawmakers are dealing with.


Daugaard gives credit to lawmakers for finding ways to deal with the bill crush including multiple meetings of Committees per day and meeting into the evening. He calls it quote “good legislative leadership”.
