Fisher Rounds and Associates in partnership with KXLG Radio and lots of other businesses in Watertown are stepping up again this year with a major effort to restock the Watertown Salvation Army food pantry. Brad Gauer with Fisher Rounds and Associates says the “Feed The Need” initiative is looking for team captains at Watertown and area businesses who can help gather the needy food items.   All that’s asked is that you as a team captain pick up a box from KXLG and place it out at your business for fellow workers to fill.  KXLG and Fisher Rounds and Associates will come by your business Friday November 17th and pick up the collection of food.

Lt. Zac Zumwalt says the Watertown Salvation Army is currently making more than 400 food boxes available monthly to needy families and the pantry is running low.

Lt. Karissa Zumwalt with the Watertown Salvation Army talked about the kinds of donations that would be helpful.

Gauer suggested a way people can help restock the food shelves.

We’re currently looking for businesses to step up with a team captain to help expand the reach of the program. All that is asked of the captain is to pick up a box at KXLG or if you would like KXLG staff can also deliver a box directly.  If you’re interested please call 753-9910 and we’ll all get started.  Again the final pickup date is November 17th.  Here’s a PS….Turkeys are also welcome and encouraged.
