The Executive Vice-President of the American Zoo and Aquariums Association Kris Vehrs is in Watertown this week visiting Bramble Park Zoo.  She is responsible for the legal counsel for the AZA, providing contract reviews with the more than 230 zoos they represent worldwide as well bylaw changes, zoo ethical issues and zoo accreditation.  During a noon luncheon visit at Bramble Park Zoo Thursday she complimented the staff and community of Watertown for what she said was a beautiful 20 acre facility in a community of Watertown that has a population of 22,000 but whose zoo welcomes just shy of 70,000 visitors a year.

Vehrs talked about the importance of Bramble Park Zoo being an accredited member of the American Zoo and Aquariums Association.
