Watertown, SD — Former Governor Frank Farrar is the guest speaker later today for the prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation’s free to the public Living Limitless Event at the Watertown Event Center. Farrar, who served as South Dakota Attorney General from1963 to 1969 and as South Dakota’s 24th Governor from 1969 to 1971 was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1992 and given just two months to live. That didn’t stop Farrar who continued to compete in triathlons, even during chemotherapy. In six months his cancer went into remission and he’s been cancer free ever since. At age 88 he’s still running, biking and swimming in ironman events, including here at Watertown. His topic tonight is the endless “Rewards Of Living A Health Lifestyle.” The event begins with Hor d’oeuvres and cash bar at 5 and a presentation at 6 p.m. We have more at mykxlg.com.
